A visual and poetic exploration of experiencing life with high-functioning depression, capturing the struggle hidden beneath the surface, in an attempt to hide reality below the waterline.
Reflecting on feelings of keeping everything calm above, whilst the current tries to pull you down from below. Focusing on the continuation of "normal" life, with internal sensations that feel furthest from normal.
The tide becomes a metaphor for emotional endurance. The rising, falling and returning of emotional stability, exploring what it means to stay afloat when nobody sees the effort it takes to do so.
